Manna Dey is one of my favorite singer and few of his songs like Goritera gaoin bada pyar, kya karon sajni ayee an sajan etc have been my favorite numbers. Dey, ruled the playback music in his golden era from the 1950s to the 1970s. In his career Manna Dey sung more than 3500 songs. And good news is that Manna dey has been nominated for the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke award for the year 2007.

The 90-year-old singer will receive the award from President Pratibha Patil in a ceremony on October 21st.

Award ceremony for the men’s magazine “GQ” held in grand Hyatt Hotel on Sunday at Mumbai.

Saif has won GQ Man of the year award said, “For me at the moment Kareena is my Man of the Year.”

Katrina won the GQ woman of the year award said, “Being called Woman of the year is a lot different from receiving a film award. It’s a great honor.”

Amitabh Bachchan has won Lifetime Achievement award said , “Well, now I’ll have to make more space to fit in yet another award.”

Katrina also won the GQ woman of the year award.
