Condolnece to Shri Rishi Kapoor & Irfann Khan

Unbelievable, no bollywood fan would have ever imagined that bollywood will loose two stars in less than 24 hours. Yesterday we lost Irfan Khan and Today morning we got the news of sudden demise of Rishi Kapoor ji. Both the actors were fighting against cancer and were recovering after the treatment abroad.

While the acting career of Rishi Kapoor last more than 40 years. In his first inning as an actor Rishi ji acted in around 92 films as lead actor. Many of his movies were blockbuster hits including the debut movie Bobby. Bobby in fact was second highest money making of the 70s second to Sholay. After the 90s he took a break from acting and make a comeback and featured in many successful films playing character roles and few negative roles including one a Rauf Lala in Agneepath and in D-day.

Last movie he worked was The Body. 


During the last few years he was not well and was diagnosed with leukemia in 2018 and he spend around an year in New York for treatment. Came back last year (Sept 2019)

He also directed the moved Aa Ab Laut Chalein.


Irfan Khan who died one day prior was one of the most versatile actor of the current times. He is known for his immense acting skills that reflects in the roles he played be it Maqbool, The Killer, Lunchbox, Paan Singh Tomar, the list goes one.

He struggles a lot in the initial years and had been seen mainly in TV serials for many years. Till he got break in the movies. His debut movie Salaam Bombay was released in 1988 where he played a small role. Even after this the struggle continued till he came into limelight for the roles he played in Haasil and Maqbool (released in 2003 and 2004 respectively).

He was busy in bollywood and at the same time was getting good roles in hollywood as well. Like Rishi Kapoor, Irfaan also had health issues and he also spend some time in USA for treatment. He was diadnosed with neuroendocrine tumour.

We pray that lord give courage to the families to bear this loss and may there souls rest in peace.
